Barbados health authorities say they are monitoring what seems to be an increase in the number of syphilis cases on the island. The Ministry of Health said that recent studies have revealed that a growing number of persons were testing positive for the sexually transmitted infection (STI). It gave no figures. Syphilis is a bacterium that can cause long-term complications, as well as death, if not adequately treated. It is transmitted from person to person by direct sexual contact with syphilis sores, known as a chancre.
At the same time, Rihanna returned to her birthplace and put on a pornographic display for the public and the cameras of the world. This all stinks of Pre-Revolutionary France; partying on while the world falls apart around you. Rihanna’s new slogan should be: “Let them eat antibiotics.”
