Pope Francis I (Our New Holy Father) and the Catholic Church's Stand on Homosexuality

I absolutely LOVE our new Holy Father, Pope Francis I. I did a very brief and cursory looking over of some of his public statements and he has been a stalwart defender of all human life, the family, and the morality of our youth. In his home-country, he strongly opposed legislation introduced in 2010 by the Argentine Government to allow same-sex marriage, calling it a “real and dire anthropological throwback.” In a letter to the faithful of Buenos Aires, he wrote: “Let's not be naive, we're not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.” - I can not agree with the Holy Father more, for allowing homosexuals to marry truly throws-out everything we know concerning the importance of heterosexual monogamy and procreation; for the continuation of the human species and the health of human culture. In the gay sphere of un-reality, there is a bizarre notion that homosexuality is only a natural derivation. This is clearly untrue to anyone who has ever grown up watching those old Mutual of Omaha “Wild Kingdom” television shows, as I did in the 1970s. The drive for reproduction is relentless in the jungle. Those who are weak or abnormal are quickly killed off. This bloody cycle is also seen in some primitive cultures, as well as fascistic religious sects. Only in the Christian West, has the homosexual been protected and able to exist. For this attitude is also mirrored in our new Pope, and within the teachings of the Catholic Church: that the welfare of the homosexual must always be protected. According to the Catechism: “The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided.”But, this charity does not mean caving into the disordered desires and false logic of a people who seriously need our help. Giving into the wounded does not heal their pains; but only prolongs them and inevitably makes everything worse. Like the Catholic Church, our Holy Father wants what is truly best for all of God's children: peace and love. For the homosexual, this can only come about through an acceptance of the Cross and the gift of chastity.
