Porn star James Deen just posted this message to his blog:
ho doesn’t???? pants suck. fuck pants. today i did a scene for sweet sinner. the first lady i was paired with was on drugs so she was sent home. the replacement was amazing. far better than the drugged out one. amanda tate was sober and wonderful and i was very happy she was down to show up and have sex with me. people forget sometimes that porn is still a job. i always draw the comparison to working at mcdonalds or at a bank. if you work at either of those places and you show up on drugs, you will get fired. if you don’t listen to your boss, you’re going to get fired. etc etc. the only real difference is that if i worked out a bank i would probably have a bit of an issue taking off my pants. i guess maybe in the 70′s or 80′s porn was full of drugs and underworld behavior but not anymore. now a days it is very professional and even though it is the most fun job in the world, there is still protocol and professionalism and strict NO DRUGS ON SET policies.
I guess, Deen was trying to appear like a clean, drug-free and up-right guy, but he comes off sounding mean, callous, and cold-hearted. His words concerning the first actress who arrived on the set high are extremely dismissive. There is not one once of care expressed. They dump her…call another piece of meat, and get on with their work. As for the first girl, it’s out of sight and out of mind. She’s yesterday’s news; a used-up and washed-out whore. Reminds me of the similar treatment given to the dead Savannah: the biggest porn superstar of my era. Vivid founder, Steven Hirsch, shortly after her suicide, said: “…she was losing her career, she was getting older, and she felt that this was the best way she could handle it.” At 23! Savannah was “getting older?” But Hirsch, like Deen, do not see those who are involved with making pornography as precious souls. They are merely a pair of breasts, a buttock, or a penis. When they lose their usefulness…they cease to exist in their eyes.
