Men in the most recent Vivid Video sex-survey were asked how they would react if their girlfriend confided she wanted to be a porn star: 43% said “it’s cool;” and the revelation would cause 26.4% to be more interested in her; while 10.7% would lose interest in her; and 19.8% would be bewildered. That’s an approval of 69.4%. Even more surprising: a total of 72.5% of the respondents said they would accept a non-sex role in an adult movie, while 53.9% said they would accept a “minor sex role,” but 91.9% would seize the opportunity to observe a porn movie being made.
First of all, I guess these guys who wish they had porn-star girlfriends want to catch HIV or some other STD as: rates of gonorrhea and chlamydia are significantly higher among adult film stars in Los Angeles County compared to legal prostitutes in Nevada. And, finally, why would anyone want to be on a porn set? Although I have never been to a porn location that was not all-male, I can testify that they are nothing glamorous or erotic: mine usually took place in cheap motels or dumpy bathhouses - it reeked of feces; trash bags were filled with used enema bottles and handi-wipes, while dazed-looking guys whacked each other off in the corner. For the most part, in order to get turned on: you either have to be seriously mentally disturbed, high on drugs, or demonically possessed.
