Thousands of demonstrators - including numerous gay activists - are set to march through the streets of Paris on Sunday (1/13/13) to protest against the French government’s plans to legalize gay marriage.Protesters are aiming to persuade French President François Hollande and his socialist government to drop plans to legalize gay marriage and open up adoption for homosexual couples. One incredibly brave young man, who will be there, is Xavier Bongibault. This guy is really going out on a limb; taking to task the presumptuous government (and his fellow gay brothers) who think they know what gays want. I wonder if a voice such as his could even be heard in America, where the homosexual advocates have become far too shrill and hate-filled to let any dissenting opinion rise above the din. Concerning the legalization of gay marriage in France, Bongibault said:
"I think first and foremost we need to protect the child. In France, marriage and child-rearing are extremely tied together. To oppose this marriage [for all] is equivalent to opposing a drastic change in the nature of child-rearing. I’m involved for the protection of the child...In no way is marriage an institution for love. If it were only love, then based on what do we refuse to recognize the marriage of three people deeply in love with each other? What about a father who loves his daughter? One allows that to suppress equality in the meaning of family, or in the meaning of a couple. So when one suppresses all the genetics of the child, one is then willing to destroy the familial circle, and therefore, to destroy the first venue for the socialization and social cohesion of the child."
