Unlike the US, which is seeing huge spikes in child porn arrests, teacher on student molestations, and kid on kid sex crimes: countries in Southeast Asia, which have little to no stake in the California porn industry, are attempting to cope with an epidemic of violent gang rapes by attempting to curtail the usual freedom enjoyed by the millions of hardcore internet porn-sites. This is very similar to efforts currently being made by the US military to ban the use of pornography by American soldiers; in a concerted struggle to curtail the startling rise in sex crimes among those in the armed forces. According to a report out of Bangladesh, 77% of school age boys are involved in watching, sharing, and even making pornography. In another study, out of India, street children are turning to crime to support their porn habits; not their alcohol or drug addictions, but porn addictions. Lastly, in a bid to curb access to online porn, the Indian government issued an order to all major internet service providers in the country to ban access to 39 web sites featuring pornographic content. Unfortunately, although I applaud their intentions, like in America, and the rest of the world, main-stream entertainment has already gone soft-core in India: for example, former US porn star Sunny Leone (above) has become a major Bollywood star. When pop-culture becomes pornographic, they only place anyone has to go for a more intense thrill is hardcore porn.
