Lies, lies, lies... |
...the truth. More and more gay men are abandoning the safe-sex practices instituted after the AIDS crisis of the 1980s, and going bareback; researchers at the Fenway Institute in Boston have discovered hepatitis C among HIV-positive gay men is at an all-time high. According to a report published in Clinical Infectious Diseases, the rate of infection among HIV-positive men was 1.6%, the highest ever seen among U.S. men who sleep with men. “The study’s findings also showed that infections were most likely due to sexual risk behavior or non-injecting drug use. However, there is accumulating evidence of hepatitis C transmissions not linked to injecting drug use among HIV-positive gay men. These infections appear to be due to traumatic sexual practices such as fisting and non-injecting drug use, especially in the context of group sex.” Across the Atlantic, a study commissioned by the Health Protection Agency (HPA,) the UK counterpart of the CDC, found 26% rise in HIV infections from 1990 to 2010 in the proportion of men who have sex with men who did not use condoms. And the latest figures show cases among men who have sex with men are reaching an all-time high. Overall, one in 20 gay men are infected with HIV, according to the study. Another HPA study found that nearly half of the 6,280 people diagnosed with HIV were gay men. Young men entering the gay lifestyle always follow the lead of those who are older, more experienced, and already established within the homosexual world. But, this is certainly not the heap of falsehoods that is being sold to our children. In the gay media, all homosexual men are happy, healthy, and beautiful. The diseases are there, maybe AIDS gets a mention once in awhile, usually having something to do with Africa, but in the “developed” nations: its all under control. Takes me back to one of my favorite childhood movies, Pinocchio; when the stubborn and greedy lost boys get fooled into entering Pleasure Island; only enslavement and death awaits them. It also reminds me of the first few scenes in the original The Poseidon Adventure, when, after the wave hits the ship, the crew tells the freaked-out passengers everything will be fine, yet the entire world has literally just turned upside-down. A few figure it out, and leave. |
